HOW TO PROPERLY BURN RIBBONWICK CANDLES

Ribbonwick Candles are some of the best candles around. Not only are they pretty to look at, but they are fun to light and enjoy thanks to their unique wicks. They come in a wide variety of scents, so you are sure to find the perfect fragrances for yourself or a loved one.

But did you know there is a certain way you should burn and care for your Ribbonwick Candles? Here are a few tips on how to get the most out of these lovely luminaries:

  • If you light the candle and the flame is more than an inch high, blow it out and wait for it to cool. Then gently run your finger over the wick to remove any of the excess wick material or debris. Relight it again after that and the flame should burn lower. Keep following this step if need be if you notice the flame is still burning too high.
  • When you light your Ribbonwick Candles, always allow them to burn at least until the wax is melted fully to the sides of the candle container. Depending on the size of your candle, it could be anywhere from two to four hours.
  • Always allow your Ribbonwick Candle to cool completely before re-lighting it.
  • Make sure you remove any loose wick debris from the inside of your Ribbonwick Candles before you burn them.
  • Follow basic safety guidelines: never leave the candle burning unattended; do not burn your Ribbonwick Candles in drafty areas of your home; keep pets and small children away from the candles when they are lit; make sure your Ribbonwick Candles are always on a heat protected surface; keep all matches and lighters safely tucked away and out of the reach of children.
  • If your Ribbonwick Candle starts smoking, check the wick to make sure it is not too long. If the wick is okay, then you probably need to move the candle to a less drafty area of your home.
  • If you notice air bubbles in your Ribbonwick Candles, do not be concerned. The candles are fine and should burn normally. The air bubbles form because these candles are made from soy wax and soy tends to be more sensitive to temperature changes.
