A Aura das Palavras

A palavra possui uma aura que consiste em sua imagem escrita,
em sua sonoridade, e nas associações que ela cria dentro de nós.
Quanto mais importante e mais usual esta palavra é,
mais intensa e marcante se torna a sua aura.
Quem a destrói, está destruindo algo dentro de nós,
está tocando nos recônditos do nosso inconsciente.

Das Wort besitzt eine Aura, die aus seinem Schriftbild,
seinem Klang und den Assoziationen besteht, die es in uns hervorruft,
und je wichtiger und gebräuchlicher ein Wort ist,
desto intensiver und prägender ist diese Aura.
Wer sie zerstört, der zerstört etwas in uns,
er tastet den Fundus unseres Unbewußten an.

Grandfather Clock

The first look means a doubt: is there someone inside drawing the hands? Of course not but we had to check it out. First me, then my daughter. Both of us were driven by the same childish curiosity. This very nice piece of design is located in the basement of the museum, close to a stairway, almost hidden. So, don’t you just pass by but take some time out.

So, und jetzt ziehe ich den Stecker raus und fahre für ein paar Tage ans Meer. Kein Handy, kein Internet, nur ein wenig Saft für Licht, Musik, den Kühlschrank und die Dusche – so viel bin ich dem Genius der Energie schon schuldig.
